    Is the ark like the one in the Bible that carried the Golden Eagles?

    In the Bible the ark is the holy container that carried God's word and the stone tablets that Moses received. Today in Jewish Synagogues, the ark is a cabinet that houses that congregation's Torah. Many of them of decorated and engraved. This one was simple and beautiful.
