A Man Named Bad

I am so excited to announce that A Man Named Bad and The Quail King and the Hunter are now available from the iTunes bookstore.  The link for each book will take you to the iTunes store where you can download these eBooks for free.

I was thrilled to get the notification this afternoon from iTunes that these two books were now available.  Every student has done a fabulous job on every aspect of this project! We are very lucky to be able to participate in a collaborative project within our own community.

Dear Fourth Graders,
We had an AMAZING time visiting your school and bringing our Buddhism stories to life! We were amazed how well you understood the apps and how to use the Ipads. Every group created a great story with wonderful illustrations. I wish we could have stayed longer! We really enjoyed getting a tour of the school and meeting old teachers. This experience brought back great memories. Hope to keep in touch!

Sincerely,

World Religion class S1

Buddhism Presentation Day!

Today in our World Religions Class we all did presentations on different aspects of Buddhists' lives.  We talked about art a lot as well.  One of the ways Buddhist do art is to create Mandalas out of colored sand.  They are very detailed and take a lon time to make.  When they are done they let them blow away in the wind!  That must be very hard considering all the work they put in! But it just goes to show the way Buddhists believe that nothing is permanent.

Dear Fourth Graders,

We hope you all had a fantastic day at Bedford High School! We loved giving your class a tour of the school and discussing school activities and events. What is your favorite thing you leaned about Bedford High School? You guys did an AMAZING job performing the skits on stage! You all looked fantastic in the costumes and read the scripts perfectly. The world religion class could not ask for a better group of students! We can not wait to visit your school next! We are excited to get a tour and visit our old teachers. Hope to see you all soon!

Sincerely

Hi everyone,
We love the picture you posted; you all look so grown up!! We are working hard in class today to prepare scripts and skits for all of you to act out when you come see us on Thursday! There is so much to do today because of the snow day! We can't wait to meet all of you and answer all of your questions about our school! As for homework, we have a lot but our teachers are very good at preparing us for the work load so when you get to be our age you'll be totally ready! Every year is so different and there's always something fun and new to do and learn but we all would love to be back in fourth grade, that's why we can't wait to come visit you later on!

Hope you all are ready for Thursday, we're going to have a great time!!!!!
